Fire Bans

It is your responsibility to be fire safe when camping!  Before you go, check to see if there are fire bans in place where you plan to visit.  http://www.albertafirebans.ca/ has the latest information on fire bans.

Obey all fire bans!

When a fire ban is in effect:

  • Any wood, briquette and propane/natural gas fire is prohibited.  This includes fires contained in designated fire facilities.
  • Use of propane campfires (portable fire pits) is not permitted.
  • Gas/Propane stoves and BBQs approved for cooking are permitted.

If you see a wildfire in any Alberta forest area, please report it immediately to the nearest ranger station or call 310-FIRE (310.3473).
