This lakeside campground is in Fawcett Lake Provincial Recreation Area. Sites are nicely treed and located close to the lake shore. A sandy beach, swimming area, boat launch and fish cleaning station make this a great summer getaway.<br>This campground consists of two camping sections located approximately 2 kilometres apart.

Fickle Lake Campground is found in Fickle Lake Provincial Recreation Area, 31 km southwest of Edson off Hwy. 47. There are 41 sites for both RVs and tents, with some spots along the lakeside. The lots are surrounded by natural spruce forest and allow easy access to the lake, boat launch and sandy shoreline. It is a great location for fishing, birding, canoeing & kayaking, with an interpretive trail leads to the remains of a trapper`s cabin.<br>Firewood sold on-site.Water is available from a hand pump at this site. Figure Eight Lake Campground, Figure Eight Lake Provincial Recreation Area
Peace River
This lakeside campground is in Figure Eight Lake Provincial Recreation Area, 25 km west of Peace River off Hwy. 35. Sites are in a mixed forest and can accommodate both RVs and tents. There are lots of activities to do here, including hiking, canoeing, wind surfing, boating, fishing, and bird watching. OHV trails can be accessed nearby.<br>This is a self-registration campground. Payment can be made by cash or personal cheque (payable to “Government of Alberta”). Credit cards are NOT accepted as payment.Drinking water is available.

Nordegg
This campground is found in Fish Lake Provincial Recreation Area, 6 km west of Nordegg on Hwy. 11 and 2 km south on an access road. Note that Fish Lake is also referred to as Shunda Lake. There are over 100 sites, including power, unserviced, waterfront and pull-through sites. Sites are spacious and most are surrounded by trees. You may canoe or boat using an electric motor on the beautiful foothill lake, which is stocked with rainbow trout. There is hiking, mountain biking, swimming, and access to OHV trails in the area. This year-round campground is found in Fisher Creek Provincial Recreation Area, 12 km southwest of Bragg Creek on Hwy. 66 and 15 km south on McLean Creek Road. A good base camp in the foothills for nearby hiking andsnowmobiling.<br>Firewood available for purchase at McLean Creek campground store, at manager`s site and from firewood truck.Water is available from a hand pump at this site. Forks Backcountry Campground is in Peter Lougheed Provincial Park, 50 km south of Hwy. 1 on Hwy. 40 and south on Kananaskis Lakes Trail. The closest access is at North Interlakes Day Use Area. It is 7.3 km from the trailhead via Upper Kananaskis Lake Circuit/Three Isle Lake Trail. About 15 tent sites are nestled in the forest at this lovely creekside campground. Here there are group firepits and firewood, pit/vault toilets, and secure food storage lockers.
