Campground Description:
Rummel Lake Winter Backcountry Campground is found in Spray Valley Provincial Park. The nearest access is near Mount Engadine Lodge, 40 km south of Canmore  on the Smith Dorrien/Spray Lakes Trail (Hwy. 742). The campground is about 5 km from the trailhead. This is the only designated winter backcountry campground in Kananaskis. Here you can enjoy the peacefulness of the forest and views of Rummel Lake and Mount Galatea in any season. A great place to hike, snowshoe, and watch for wildlife.<br>**Backcountry permit required for winter camping. Campers must camp close enough to the lake to ensur
