Castle River Bridge Campground, Castle Provincial Park

This little campground is along the Castle River in Castle Provincial Park. It is 20 km west of Pincher Creek on Hwy. 507, 16 km south on Hwy. 774 and 1 km west on an access road. Sites are suited to tents and RVs and are located along the river. Here you can fish or hike, and paddlers with advanced moving water experience can play on the river. There are informal OHV trails in the vicinity. Please keep OHVs on trailers while in the recreation area.<br>Opening dates are subject to weather conditions. All camp sites are first come-first served. Self-registration is in effect with camping fees

Cataract Creek Campground, Cataract Creek Provincial Recreation Area
Longview
This is a large campground found in Cataract Creek Provincial Recreation Area, 45 km southwest of Longview on Hwy. 541 and 12 km south on Forestry Trunk Road. There are over 100 unserviced sites suitable for tents and some RVs. Enjoy hiking in the lodgepole pine forest or try fishing in the creek.<br>Firewood available for purchase on site from the campground manager.Water is available from a hand pump at this site. Although Alberta Parks strives to maintain water quality, we recommend that you bring your own drinking water.Nearest sewage disposal station at Highwood House.

Municipal campground with 15 sites located in the center of town. Gravel Pads with picnic tables and fire pits. Potable water taps and Restrooms & Showers. Treed with a small playground on site. The aquatic centre, recreation centre, splash park, playgrounds, and tennis courts are within walking distance. Open from May long weekend to September long weekend.

Chain Lakes Campground, Chain Lakes Provincial Park
Nanton
Enjoy an oasis on the prairie in Chain Lakes Provincial Park, 38 km southwest of Nanton on Hwy. 533. This campground along the Chain Lakes Reservoir features over 90 sites with willow bushes for privacy and both unserviced and power options. Enjoy swimming, beach activities, canoeing, fishing, wind surfing or sailing at this lakeside getaway. Winter camping is available as well for those hoping to ice fish for rainbow trout.<br>Loop B is open year-round. Only cash or personal cheques are accepted for first come-first served camping fee payment during winter season. Loops A and C are closed for

Chain Lakes Campground is located in Chain Lakes Provincial Recreation Area, 12 km west and 15 km north of Athabasca on Hwy. 2 then 20 km north on an access road. This small lake is stocked annually, providing a great opportunity to fish from shore, canoe, or electric powered boat.<br>Firewood is not provided.Water is available from a hand pump at this site. Although Alberta Parks strives to maintain water quality, we recommend that you bring your own drinking water.

Chambers Creek Campground is found in Chambers Creek Provincial Recreation Area, 30 west of Rocky Mountain House on Hwy. 11. There are about 25 campsites here. More than 85 km of developed and informal trails for hiking, mountain biking and OHV are in the vicinity. Please keep OHVs on trailers in the campground.<br>Recent changes to the recreation area regulation under the Public Health Act have affected provision of drinking water in this campground – we cannot absolutely guarantee that water from hand pumps is free of pathogens because of the risk of ground water contamination. This gem of Alberta`s southern Rockies is in Chinook Provincial Recreation Area, 8 km west of Coleman off Hwy. 3. Chinook Campground features over 90 well-treed sites, including RV-friendly and tenting spots with easy access to beautiful Chinook Lake.
