Franchere Bay Campground is located in Franchere Bay Provincial Recreation Area, 3 km north of Bonnyville on Hwy. 41 and 18 km west on Hwy. 660, and 2 km south on access road. With a full range of amenities, it is easy to enjoy an extended stay at the lake just lazing on the sandy beach or boating and fishing.

Freeman River Campground is found in Freeman River Provincial Recreation Area. It is 10 km northwest of Whitecourt on Hwy. 43 and 55 km north on Hwy. 32 (16 km south of Swan Hills). This small campground has sites suitable for both tents and RVs. It provides access to the Freeman River and nearby OHV trails.<br>You are expected to bring your own water. Government of Alberta regulations require that water from pumps like the one located at this campground NOT be used for drinking, cooking or washing (including brushing teeth and washing dishes). French Bay Lower East Campground is located in French Bay Provinical Recreation Area, 10 km east of Cold Lake on 50 street / Township Rd. 630 and 2 km north on access road. This cozy campsite offers basic facilities and a great view of Cold Lake.<br>Firewood is not provided.Water is available from a hand pump at this site. Although Alberta Parks strives to maintain water quality, we recommend that you bring your own drinking water.

Goldeye Lake Campground is located in Goldeye Lake Provincial Recreation Area, 8 km west of Nordegg on Hwy. 11 and 3 km north on an access road. There are over 40 unserviced sites, most surrounded by aspen and spruce trees. Canoe, swim or fish in the stocked lake, or walk the loop trail around it.<br>Recent changes to the recreation area regulation under the Public Health Act have affected provision of drinking water in this campground – we cannot absolutely guarantee that water from hand pumps is free of pathogens because of the risk of ground water contamination.
