Harlech Campground, Harlech Provincial Recreation Area

Nordegg

This small campground is found in Harlech Provincial Recreation Area, 13 km east of Nordegg on Hwy. 11. It is well treed and suitable for both RVs and tents. You can fish in Shunda Creek or in the stocked trout pond. The Shunda Creek trailhead leads to the North Saskatchewan River, 10 km away. There are OHV trails in the vicinity. Located only 150 km West of Edmonton, Hidden Grove offers fun for the whole family. Beach volleyball, horseshoe pits, walking trails and a 9 hole fun golf course are on site. Within walking distance a heated outdoor pool, 3 playground structures, pump track and basketball courts. Open year round and work crews are welcome. Hidden Grove is a perfect place to host a family reunion, camp for a week while taking swimming lessons or just sneak away for the weekend. Seasonal sites are also available.

Hilliards Bay Campground, Hilliards Bay Provincial Park

High Prairie

This large campground is found in Hilliard`s Bay Provincial Park, 18 km east of High Prairie on Hwy. 2, 16 km north on Hwy. 750 and 10 km east on an access road. This lovely spot on the shores of Lesser Slave Lake has over 170 well-treed sites suitable for both RVs and tents. There are both unserviced and powered sites. Play on the sandy beach, or go fishing on the lake. Hike or mountain bike along the shoreline or discover the Boreal Forest Interpretive trail.<br>The campground is 100% reservable during summer season.  It becomes first-come, first-served after the September long weekend. A small campground found in Horburg Provincial Recreation Area, 25 km west of Rocky Mountain House on Hwy. 11 and 6 km south on an access road. There are both unserviced and walk-in sites here. A great access point for boaters on the North Saskatchewan River. There are over 80 km of hiking, mountain biking and OHV trails in the area. Hornbeck Creek Campground, Hornbeck Creek Provincial Recreation Area

This campground is located in Hornbeck Creek Recreation Area, 15 km west of Edson on Hwy. 16. There are over 30 sites, including some that back onto the creek. A pleasant, park-like setting with tall trees, it is a good stop-over point for those travelling on the Yellowhead highway.<br>Firewood can be purchased by arranging delivery by phone.  The phone number is posted onsite.Water is available from a hand pump at this site. Although Alberta Parks strives to maintain water quality, we recommend that you bring your own drinking water.

$45 / night for full service (power, water, sewer) plus $7 fire permit fee / night. $5 online reservation fee / booking $29 / night for no service overflow area plus $7 fire permit fee / night. $5 online reservation fee / booking $5 for non-campers using the dump station. Camping fees include Wi-Fi, firewood and use of the public washrooms and showers.

This South Kananaskis campground is found in Indian Graves Provincial Recreation Area, 29 km south of Longview on Hwy 22 and 13 km west on Hwy. 532. This beautiful spot is a great starting point for backcountry hiking and horseback riding, with spacious sites among the trees.<br>Visa & MasterCard accepted. Corrals accommodating up to two horses are $7 per night.  A reservation fee of $5 is applicable. Interlakes Campground is in Peter Lougheed Provincial Park, 50 km south of Hwy. 1 on Hwy. 40 and south on Kananaskis Lakes Trail. This picturesque campground along the shore of Lower Kananaskis Lake  has around 45 well-treed campsites for RVs and tents. From here there is close access to the lakes for those hoping to canoe, fish or go boating.
