Saskatoon Island Campground, Saskatoon Island Provincial Park
Grande Prairie
This campground is nestled along the shore of Saskatoon Lake in Saskatoon Island Provincial Park, 21 km west of Grande Prairie on Hwy. 43 and 4 km north on an access road. There are over 100 sites here, including both power and non-power sites. Walk-in tenting sites are located right along the lakeshore. Canoe or kayak on the lake while keeping an eye out for Trumpeter Swans. Enjoy hiking, mountain biking and wildlife viewing on the park trails.

Seibert Lake Campground, Lakeland Provincial Recreation Area

Seibert Lake Campground is located in Lakeland Provincial Recreation Area, 17 km south of Lac La Biche on Hwy. 36, 60 km east of Hwy. 55, and 20 km north on the access road. Just outside the entrance of the campsite, there is a staging area for OHV use for the trail network throughout Lakeland PRA, including access to Spencer Lake.<br>Due to high water levels and run-off, the road conditions into Seibert Lake are poor. Motorhomes are not recommended on Seibert Lake Trail (road). For road condition updates, please contact Lakeland District Office and review Advisories for Lakeland Provincial











Seven Mile Campground, Seven Mile Provincial Recreation Area

Seven Mile Campground is located in Seven Mile Provincial Recreation Area, 48 km southwest of Caroline on Hwy. 591. This medium sized campground in the valley of the Clearwater River has basic camping facilities for hikers and horseback riders, though it has no equestrian facilities.<br>For Alberta Parks to continue to offer access to this area, we require visitors to be responsible for maintaining the site. Sheep Creek Campground, Sheep Creek Provincial Recreation Area

This small campground is found in Sheep Creek Provincial Recreation Area, 25 km north of Grande Cache on Hwy. 40. Open sites are located along the Smoky River. Try your luck fishing in the river or explore informal hiking trails in the area. The campground has a boat launch into the Smoky River.<br>Road is NOT maintained in winter. No facility maintenance after September 5th. No firewood is provided. Water is available from a hand pump at this site. Although Alberta Parks strives to maintain water quality, we recommend that you bring your own drinking water.

This large campground is found in Sibbald Lake Provincial Recreation Area, 30 km east of Canmore on Hwy. 1, 6 km south on Hwy. 40 and 12 km east on Hwy. 68. There are over 130 sites which are suitable for RVs and tents. A nice little mountain lake where you can go canoeing, fishing, mountain biking, horseback riding or hiking.<br>Generator Free Area: “B” Loop sites 56-86Water is available from a hand pump at this site. Although Alberta Parks strives to maintain water quality, we recommend that you bring your own drinking water.












Simonette River Campground, Simonette River Provincial Recreation Area

This scenic riverside campground is in Simonette River Provincial Recreation Area, 45 km east of Grande Prairie and 10 km south of Hwy. 43 on an access road. There is easy river access from the campground. It is a nice place to fish, swim, or float on the river.<br>This is a self-registration campground. Payment can be made by cash or personal cheque (payable to “Government of Alberta”). Credit cards are NOT accepted as payment.
